Holiday Retreat, Scotland - Until recently this converted bothy on Jura on the west coast of Scotland had neither electricity nor proper sanitation, yet over the decades it has been an important holiday retreat for generations of the same family. Purchased in 1918 by the current owner's grandmother, three small bothies were transformed into a family house for the summer holidays. Over time a few essential changes have been made to make the property more comfortable, but the pine cladding and the layout of the rooms are much the same as nearly a century ago
